What we keep, and what we don’t.

What we collect.

• Contact. A phone number or email, used to send a one-time code. There is nothing else to remember: the same field signs you up and signs you in.
• Your file. Name and date of birth (required for MOON and LAGNA grades). Birth time and birth place are optional. A jaathaka photo is optional; if you upload one it is stored on your account as-is, shown back to you so you can confirm the fields, and never treated as machine-read truth.
• City today. The city whose sunrise and Rahu the clock uses. You set it; the app may suggest one (see GPS below).
• Board. Your tiles, reminders, display and board settings, and the questions you ask Poojari ji, so the thread is there when you come back.
• Payment. Razorpay handles UPI and cards. We store the subscription id, plan, status and invoice records. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank details.

GPS is city today only.

When you open the Desk, and only if you allow it, the app reads a coarse location once and snaps it to the nearest listed city. If that city differs from your saved city today, a banner asks: “You look like you're in Goa, not Mumbai.” You choose. The app never changes the city silently, never writes GPS into your birth place, and does not store coordinates. Denying location just means you pick the city yourself.

Family files stay on the account.

On Shubh and Param you can add family files: a name, relation and date of birth, with optional time and place. They live on your account only, there is no separate login for a family member, and they are deleted with the account. The app never uses one file to say anything about another, and there is no match-making.

No janma on share cards.

A share card carries the verdict, the window, the city, the date and, if you switch it on, your first name. It never carries your date of birth, birth time, birth place, star or any family file. “Does not include birth file.”

Cookies and trackers.

One cookie, mh_session, keeps you signed in for 90 days. It is HttpOnly and used for nothing else. There are no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics and no ad networks on the site or in the app.

Who else sees data.

• Our hosting provider (Cloudflare), where the account database runs.
• The SMS or email provider that delivers your one-time code: it receives only the number or address and the code.
• Razorpay, for payment; it has its own privacy policy.
• Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data.

How long, and how to delete.

Data stays while your account exists. Delete the account from Account → Delete account in the app: your contact, name, file, family files, photo, tiles, reminders, settings and session are removed and the payment mandate is cancelled. Invoice records are kept only as tax law requires, without birth details. Without the app, use the deletion page.

Children.

Muhurat AI is not directed at children. If a child’s account was created without a guardian’s consent, write to us and we will remove it.
